Object Description
Standard design rug with vegetal colors. Concentric stepped central diamond with similar half diamonds above and below, in tan, white, gray, gray-green and brown; this is bordered by a gold band on all four sides, with a band of gray, at top and bottom and a gray border with serrated "fletching" pattern outlined with a narrow white line as it meets the negative "fletching" design in the gold outer border. Warp: white wool; wefts, white wool, gray - black and white wool carded together, tan, gray-green, gold, brown wool, vegetal dyed. Selvages: 2-ply gray cords added in all four edges.
Warp direction 128.5 x weft direction 91.5 x depth .4 cm, plus 8.5 cm tassels at each corner.
