Object Description Banded saddle blanket or rug. Central band a tan stripe bordered top and bottom by a narrow white band, a narrow dark brown band, and a gold band. Above and below this a band of dark brown with narrow gold and white bands across the center, a pink-tan band with narrow bands of white and gold across the center, a gray band, then a gold band with narrow pink and gold bands, and final border bands of brown-gray top and bottom. Warp: white wool; wefts: white, gold, rose-tan, tan, dark brown, gray, gray brown vegetal colored wool. Selvages: 2-ply light gray cords added in all four edges. Warp direction 94.5 x weft direction 45.5 x depth .4 cm, plus 6-9 cm tassels at each corner. Paper tag, written in ink: "R39"
