Klagetoh rug. Vertical zig-zags. Gray background with two red vertical stepped zigzag lines accented with white squares outlined in black; between these figures at top and at bottom a diamond figure consisting of a white cross figure enclosed in red squares outlined in black that form two connected stacked diamond figures at each end; there are matching half diamond figures at center outside edge of each side. Border: black band all four edges. Warp: white natural handspun wool; wefts: white natural handspun wool, black natural handspun wool, augmented, gray - natural handspun black and white wool carded together, red natural homespun wool, aniline dyed. Selvages: 2-ply gray cords added in at sides, 3-ply black cords added in top and bottom. Warp direction 150.5 x we[see Object Description text entry for extended description]
