Object Description
Rug with Two Grey Hills colors. Light brown background with two central vertical serrated brown diamonds with a series of six stacked four-part black and white diamonds in center, outlined with series of gray, white, black and gray lozenges forming serrated diamond form, with extra outer white lozenge accents at meeting of two diamond forms. Series of five across by twelve down "water bugs" of white diamonds with black outline and zigzag forms in brown field border the central diamonds. Warp: white natural handspun wool; weft: white natural handspun wool, black natural handspun wool augmented, gray - natural handspun black and white wool carded together, brown natural handspun wool, vegetal dyed. Selvages: 2-ply brown cords added in on sides, 3-ply gray cords added in top [see Object Description text entry for extended description]
