Descriptions
Object Description Flat, tapering pipe stem wrapped with white-, orange-, and brown-braided quillwork strips that form color bands and geometric shapes. A hair bundle is attached at the center, and a dyed red hair cap covers the smoking end. Once painted blue-green; decorated with a heddle-woven wool and glass bead garter and a central hair bundle. Some of the ribbons have been previously conserved due to their unattached state and therefore the current positioning may not be the original position.
