Object Description
Olla-shaped waste basket with constricted neck and flaring rim. Interlaced basketry with honeysuckle woven over white oak. Alternating dark and light brown warps and wefts result in vertical stripes, a total of 12 vertical bands. Design of repeated circles around body made by wrapped honeysuckle against weft background of split oak elements. Vegetable-dyed with walnut root. 32 x 29 cm (height x diameter); rim diameter 22.5 cm.
