Descriptions
Object Description
Rectangular wood-splint basket with arched handle. Plaited (1/1 interlacing) of brown warp and weft elements, with a horizontal band of natural alternating with orange. Natural tan handle and (2) rim reinforcement elements; the latter were attached by coiling. Wood is probably maple, perhaps white oak. Dimensions: 10.5 x 7.2 cm at rim; height = 10.1 cm including handle, 5.5 cm at rim.
