Object Description
Textile of woven raffia cloth in form of royal woman's overskirt. This is a classic example in the central section, borders and edging. Center: two panels dyed deep red after weaving and decoration-- which is plush embroidery in lattice form alternating with linear embroidery stitching in typical angular pattern. Wide borders on three sides in canonical form: black linear "Woot" pattern embroidered in stem stitching on a beige ground which is covered with beige grid of thin, tight stem stitching. Edging narrow red woven band finished in beige stem stitching. Excellent condition. Written in ballpoint pen on reverse side of cloth, "BOING BUSHING"
