Object Description
Tapa. The Tongan cloth is produced by traditional method with one side decorated with cross-direction of the two main layers. Lengthwise as produced it is 83 inches equal to four laganga. Numbered on widthwise edges as 44 through 47; width is 158 inches.
Lettering koe halauga is repeated intermittently on diagonal between geometric, elongated diamonds and half-sun rising with triangular rays.
