Descriptions
Object Description
"Skull cracker" equestrian club with stone head of rounded biconical form, bound to and entirely covering the thin wooden handle with a stitched rawhide covering. The handle is perforated near the end. The binding terminates in a double flap of round configuration, also perforated, presumably for a wrist thong to secure the weapon to the hand of the user. The portion of the binding securing the head has been painted with five lines of red pigment with white interlinear markation, and just beyond the edges of the binding, the stone itself has also been painted with parallel red lines, matching those of the binding proper.
