Object Description
Early Klagetoh rug. Light brown field with central stepped diamond element: center light brown serrated diamond outlined in red and enclosing a black-brown "H" outlined in red. This diamond is on a white stepped diamond outlined in black, then white, then red, then black; the black outer outline has black flags at outer corners of steps. In each corner of the light brown field is a serrated zigzag element in black and white separated by a red zigzag line. Border: straight red line across top and bottom outlining inner edge of black border band and stepped zigzag at sides where it outlines black zigzag stepped border; outer white border meets this black border in stepped zigzag line; plain black band across top and bottom.
