Descriptions
Object Description Written on board: Mexico, Yaxchilan. T. Maler 1897. The Eastern Temple. Lintel No. 13 (verso) Lintel #4. A woman of high rank is presenting to the Ahaucan with the left hand a bird (pigeon?) on a plate. The Ahaucan (perhaps Ketsalcoatl in person) presents to the woman with the right hand a bust of a young man (the young Ketsalcoatl? Ketsalina?) I have a very good paper mould of this stone. T.M. / This & ## 19 to 23 are called "lintels" though the shape does not support this designation. C.P.B.
