Object Description
Crow mother (or Tumas) kachina of painted wood (cottonwood root?), in walking stance carrying clay bowl with food offering in outstretched arms. Wears green moccasins, black fabric manta with a red and a blue band at hem and white lace, a white shawl with red and black band at edges, a metal pendant with green center hung from chain around her neck, and blue case mask with black triangle outlined in white. Large black crow ears and red feather on head. Mounted on a base which on bottom says "12 Tumas, Crow Mother, Mother of all Kachinas." See notes/histories under "medium".
