Object Description
Shalako kachina of cottonwood root with green mask having horns on sides of head, protruding white and black eyes, a long blue open snout, black fabric ruff and long hair, yellow "crow's foot" on head, and white feathers. Has neckpiece of turquoise stone bits and fur pieces instead of arms. Robes are of predominately white fabric with black and green trim and red diamond designs. Yellow leggings and turquoise, white, and red moccasins. Mounted on base, which is signed "Steven Cumosoa." Kachina is part of set of 10 depicting participants in a Shalako ceremony (995-29-10/73499-73508).
