Object Description
Small, flat Hemis cradle kachina of cottonwood root. Designs are etched into wood and then colors are stained on. Kachina has raised visor with red rim and star pattern, elaborate stepped green tableta, black rectangular eyes, and green neck ruff. Arms are etched across natural brown torso, which has three vertical red lines at waist. Neck ruff, torso decorations, and red lines are also depicted on back of doll.
