Object Description Brocaded ceremonial sash. Plain weave white wool with blue, red, green and red wool brocade, all s-spun 3-ply. Two plain weave panels with brocade at one end, connected at plain end with red and green wool. Brocaded pattern as follows: wide black band with undulating line of white triangles; green band; black band with three pair of narrow vertical white lines; blue band; black band; wide green band with two red and white diamonds outlined in black separated from each other by three groups of 3 narrow white vertical lines; black band; blue band; black band with three pair of narrow vertical white lines; green band; black band with undulating white triangles. Side selvages are stitched with red wool. Warp ends are left loose to create fringe. Length: 218.5 cm; Width: 23.4 cm;[see Object Description text entry for extended description]
