Descriptions
Object Description
Satchel, also described as woven wallet or a storage bag with diamond patterns. The overall form and an absence of carrying straps suggests it intended to contain sacred items. The specific woven design is related to prayer issues. The center includes a “checkerboard” design. These objects were not made for the tourist market. They were often given away during marriages and barters.
