Object Description
Slit tapestry on cotton warps (2z-plied) with a complicated design of stepped diagonals and "T"-shaped motifs. At lower edge, fret border. Warp selvage woven as a tube in complementary weft weave. One warp, two weft selvages. Weft: nearly black natural camelid used singly (z) and plied (2s-plied); dark brown camelid, (2s-plied); dyed colors in gold and several shades of red, (2s-plied).
