Object Description Scene of Navajo woman combing her daughter's hair with yucca strands. Both women are seated on white sheep skin. The mother wears white full skirt, brown moccasins, dark gray blouse, silver concha belt, and white and turquoise beaded necklace. Daughter kneels in front and wears gray biil dress with red diamond decorations on chest, red belt, and white and turquoise beaded necklace. Stone mano and metate and Navajo wedding basket of wood in front of daughter. To the sides of the mother are a carding pallet, weaving comb, and spindle with red yarn. Scene mounted on a wood base that simulates sandstone. Signed on the bottom "Nelson B. Watchman, 62-63."
