Descriptions
Object Description Textile portion; diagonal design: rows of interlocked feline heads alternate with zigzag bands. Weave is simple and complex gauzeweave of light brown cotton, overspun. Designs outlined with embroidery and the eyes of the felines are multiple strands of cotton caught into the gauze twists. Two cloths seamed together up center; pattern is accurately matched. Four selvages.
