Object Description Turban band - rose-red, purple, dull green 2 ply wool; milanese technique; each end needle-knitted square with cat design & needle-knitted fingers with inverted design length 8.15 meters x width 3 cm.: Headband with oblique interlacing. Design is 3 "braided" strands; 2 purple, 1 green, camelid (2s), on 2-2 plainweave red ground. Weave is oblique interlacing, "braiding" strands are woven in warp-faced rep weave covering groups of elements. Band ends with cross-knit looped fringe, red with reversed "s" motifs. At the top of the fringes are felines, brown or green on red ground.
