Display Title Fringed rain sash in white cotton interlaced sprang
Descriptions
Object Description White cotton rain sash with long fringe, dating to the early 1900s. Interlaced sprang technique, using handspun natural-colored cotton consisting of 193 2-ply z-spun s-twisted strands. There are just under 10 elements per cm across the width of the sash. Interlaced body of sash is about 127 cm long, 20 cm wide, and .4 cm thick. The center finishing technique is unusual. [see extended description in Text Entries Object Description]
