Object Description
Early Ganado rug with Crystal influence, commercial carpet yarn, from Hubbell's Trading Post. Oversized rug with red field. In center of rug a white swastika with black tips, with a red cross, with black center square, outlined in white, then black, at each side of swastika. Above and below this are a red cross outlined in black enclosed in a stepped diamond figure of white, outlined in black, then in white, flanked by small black cross figures with white tips, and at top and bottom of rug a small center white diamond outlined in black with black swastika figures with white tips similar in size to center figure but reversed direction, on each side. Inner white zigzag border, saw-tooth on sides and undulating at top and bottom, is separated from inner red field and outer[see Object Description text entry for extended description]
