Object Description Germantown rug or throw, modern revival? Gray field with two concentric serrated diamonds one above the other, in center; inner diamonds green, then blue then red outer diamonds. In gray field each side in center of sampler an element formed of small dark blue diamond with smaller green diamonds above and below it, all outlined in red and with red cross figures at top and bottom. Serrated solid red quarter diamonds in each corner of the gray field. Border: green bands across top and bottom, and continuing down sides meeting the gray field in a dentate pattern. Yarn added on at top and bottom, above selvage cords, and tied in a fringe, with blocks of green fringe in center, then gray blocks, and red outer blocks. Warp: white plied wool; wefts: red, green, dark navy blu[see Object Description text entry for extended description]
