Object Description
Germantown eyedazzler pillowtop/hanging. Central light yellow green hourglass enclosed in concentric serrated diamonds of black, red, gold and maroon, with three stacked triangles within top of maroon diamond, and white line outlining sides of maroon figure. Two serrated concentric half diamond figures on each side of central diamond, those at top half of sampler with half light yellow/half gold center and those on the bottom of solid gold center, both with outer half diamond of purple. Border: top (as mounted for hanging) a narrow purple band and outer black line, at bottom a black line and outer narrow purple band. Warp: plied cotton?; wefts: germantown multi-plied commercially processed wool.
