Object Description
Very thin, sheer, rectangular barkcloth that is void of pigment decoration. It is made from a single layer of uniformly beaten, light brown colored inner bark fibers. There are natural holes (two large and several small) throughout that are probably from branches. The grain direction is parallel to one edge. All edges are the natural beaten edges. There are no joins or surface texture. Overall, it is heavily soiled, especially along one edge, and this may be a result of use.
