Object Description
Heart-shaped whimsey from early 1900s, the front enbroidered with beads on pink twill fabric, sewn to a back piece of rose-colored glazed cotton, which is undecorated. It is very firmly stuffed with batting. There is no cloth binding, but the seams are lightly covered by a two-bead diagonal edge stitch in clear seed beads. Two inner borders of clear beads outline the heart shape. In the center is a four-lobed flower in clear seed beads, with a center hightly raised in light blue and white opaque seed beads. Four gold-toned sequins held with amber seed beads accent the flower. Above this design, two leaf devices are symmetrically placed across the width of the heart.
