Object Description
Coal Mine Mesa rug. Raised outline technique. Four central diamonds, each with a central hourglass figure in vertical beading lines of gold and black, enclosed in a serrated butterfly-diamond figure of black and white vertical beading, which is enclosed in a serrated diamond of red and black vertical beading and bordered by a straight-sided gray and black beaded diamonds. At each side a series of three half diamonds with quarter diamonds at corners mesh with central column of diamonds. Side figures have central serrated form in black and white vertical beading in straight-sided brown and black vertical beaded diamond; the two half diamonds in middle of side have half butterfly figure in black and gold vertical beading.
