Object Description
Deep bowl-shaped basket coiled of natural-colored grass, with looped rim. Rim consists of bundle of grass sewn down at intervals to the top row of coiling; looped areas are not covered with wrapping. Sides of basket decorated with imbricated design of zig-zag line made up of alternate light-colored and brown rectangular blocks, probably in bear grass (lighter color) and perhaps also bark. Frayed rim has been repaired in several places with thread. Bundle construction with imbrication.
