Object Description
Coiled basketry figure of woman- "snowman" shaped with protruding arms and opening on head where olla fits. Made of bundle construction with bundles of bear grass, wefts of yucca, and designs of black martynia pod (Devil Claw?). Natural
background, but base of figure is yellow with four stepped units outlined in black coming up sides to form skirt decoration. Each unit is topped with black star of four squares with yellow center. Alternating black and yellow belt around waist and three black squares down chest. Yellow and natural alternating line around neck. Black hair and black features for eyes and mouth. Olla on head has five yellow stepped triangles extending down from the rim outlined in black. Rim of olla finished in regular stitch in alternating black and natural.
