Object Description
A thin, dense, crisp and paper-like cloth of off-white beaten inner bark fibers; several clumps of darker colored fibers also scattered throughout; fibers are well pounded, macerated and enmeshed; beater impressions--overlapping groups of thin parallel ridges--occur throughout; beater impressions are more distinct on one side of the cloth than the other; three edges of the cloth retain their original pounded edge finish; the remaining edge is unevenly cut--a large curved shape has also been cut from this edge; aside from its beater impressions, the cloth is undecorated.
