Descriptions
Object Description Banded blanket. Six white bands alternating with five bands with a center stripe of white containing two medium blue lines, red bands with two black stripes above and below that, and outer stripe of white containing two medium blue lines. Plain weave with lazy lines. Warp: brown and white wool; wefts: white natural handspun wool, blue natural handspun wool indigo dyed, red natural handspun wool aniline dyed. Selvages: 3-ply blue cords added in all four edges; fringe: warp extends, looped, 3-4 cm beyond final selvage top and bottom, the loops tied to form fringe. Warp direction 156 x weft direction 116 x depth .4 cm, plus 3-4 cm fringe each end, plus 4 cm tassel on one corner and 6 cm tassel on one corner.
