Object Description
Hudson's Bay style rug. 3 Point pound blanket; white field with group of three short narrow horizontal brown-black bands extending in 10-15 cm from edge of each side near top and bottom, with a broader brown-black band above and below, and an outer white border top and bottom. Lazy lines. Warps: white natural handspun wool; wefts: black, dark brown, white - natural handspun white wool. Selvages: 3-ply pink and 3-ply white cords added in at sides, 3-ply pink cords added in top and bottom.
Warp direction 205 x weft direction 139 x depth 1 cm, plus 10 cm tassels each corner.
