Object Description
Saddle blanket or rug with multi-colored banded layout. Plain weave. Center stripe white, above and below that red, black, light gray, brown, white, red, and outer border stripes of black. Warp: white handspun wool; wefts: white, light gray, red, black and brown handspun wool, aniline dyed. Selvages: weft wrapped around outer warp at sides, 2-ply gray cords added in at top and bottom.
Warp direction 80 x weft direction 76 x depth .6 cm, plus 8 cm tassels each corner
