Object Description
Pair of wooden kachina bookends. Each bookend consists of a kachina head with brown neck ruff, turquoise case mask, red slot ears, and a feather fan backing the head. Mask has black triangular mouth, diagonal hachures of purple and red on cheeks , rectangular eyes- one purple and black and the other yellow and black, black headband with white dashes and matching vertical band on forehead. Mask possibly depicts A-ha or Ongchoma Kachina (compassionate Kachina).
