Object Description
One of two ends cut from a plainweave band of cotton colored with reddish pigment. Ends are woven in slit tapestry with spaced dovetailing. Design: stepped diagonals in turquoise, yellow, purple, lavender, green, white, yellow camelid on magenta ground (wefts all 2z-plied, 28 epcm.). Ends divided into four tabs, each ending in a long magenta tassel. Two weft selvages. Warp: cotton, (2s-plied), 12 epcm. Weft: cotton, (z); (z-pairs), 7 epcm.
