Descriptions
Object Description Talavai (Morning) kachina with painted gourd body. The base of the gourd is red, while the sides depict a white kilt with decorated sash in black, green, turquoise, and red. There is a slit in one side for probable use as a bank. A cork stopper is painted as a Talavai head with a turquoise case mask, red tubular mouth, red slot ears, cloud symbols on cheeks, green fabric ruff, and a feather headdress.
