Object Description
Standard design rug with Ganado colors. Central vertical column of stacked black triangles bordered on each side by a band of stacked red lozenges, this central column is connected to two side columns, each with a central column of gray stacked lozenges with stacked white lozenges on each side and then another of stacked gray lozenges; outer band of stacked red lozenges at each side. Border: black band, sawtoothed at sides where meets red lozenges, and straight across top and bottom. Warp: white wool; wefts: red, white, gray and black natural and aniline dyed wool. Selvages: 2-ply red cords added in all four edges.
Warp direction 127 x weft direction 91 x depth .3 cm, plus 6-8 cm tassels, braided and tied at ends, at each corner.
Paper tag, written in ink: "R72 36 x 50" both sides and "F'" on one side
