Object Description Finger-woven Arrowhead pattern sash from the 1960's-1980's. Commercial acrylic 4-ply z-spun s-twisted, aniline dyed yarn in black, orange, blue, white, maroon, yellow. Pattern points 3 rows of arrowheads in one direction, and two tessellated facing the other way. The black border at either side is one-half a row of arrows. At the base of the design it is ended by two strands of black yarn twined over the weaving elements. The fringe from this point downward is composed of every twelve strands being gathered and braided in a standard 3-ply braid 11 cm long, tied off, and extending on into a long tassel approximately 64 cm long. The body of the sash is 17 cm wide, .3 cm deep, and 86 cm long. The total length, including the fringe, is 232 cm. Paper tag with metal[see Object Description text entry for extended description]
