Object Description
Rectangular bag from early 1900s with top opening constructed of two pieces of soft leather sewn to side and bottom rectangular section to form a flat box shape with depth of 4 cm. The back panel extends 6.5 cm over the front into a flap closure which has a slightly rounded edge and no lining. The interior of the bag is lined with a dark brown cotton fabric with a tan and red figured design. This material is turned over the top edge of the front to form a .5 cm binding. There is a stiff interlining (probably cardboard) which makes this bag very firm. The beads are worked leaving exposed leather inside the borders and around the central designs.
