Object Description
Standard design rug. White field with a center panel of two gray stepped diamonds joined by gray lines to outer gray border and to the gray lines separating them from panels above and below; square panels above and below contain one smaller stepped brown diamond and four corner stepped gray diamonds that are attached to outer gray borders and to the gray lines above and below. Border: outer band of gray, all four edges. Warp: white wool; wefts: gray, white, brown wool. Selvages: 3-ply gray cords added in at sides, 2-ply white cords added in at top and bottom. Warp direction 57 x weft direction 27 x depth .4 cm, plus 9-10 cm tassels each corner.
