Object Description
Banded rug. Aniline-dyed handspun z-spun wool in white, black, tan and red. (The black appears to be augmented). Six white bands separated from each other bya total of five very braod horizontal bands in orange-ish red top and bottom with interior filled with serrated stacked diamonds inred, tan, black and white. The sides are left as woven and top and bottom have a selvage of stitched red wool. Length: 211 cm, Width: 126.7 cm, Depth .4 cm. Thread count: 3 ends/cm warp, 7 ends/cm weft. Excellent condition, thugf some spot stains and worn out weft near center of blanket. There are alos lazy lines, and appraisal notes "possibly Navajo".
