Object Description Klagetoh rug. Central element a stepped gray "X" figure with a wide red stepped border outlined in black interlaced lines that enclose small white rectangles. This central element is on a gray background panel outlined in straight white line across top and bottom and fleched design on each side, separating it from a red bordering band; black border band around all four edges. Warp: white wool; wefts red, gray, black and white natural and aniline dyed wool. Selvages: 3-ply black cords added in all four edges. Warp direction 137.3 x weft direction 89.5 x depth .4 cm, plus 4-5 cm tassels each corner. Small paper tag, written in pencil: "Ganado 35 1/2 x 53 1/2" written in ink on both sides: "R29"
