Object Description Rug. Imitation of Navajo twill saddle blanket from Teotitlan de Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico. 1980s. Constructed of gray, brown and white s-spun aniline-dyed wool. A simple gray border is on both ends.The body has the appearance of a diamond twill pattern, but it is woven in regular weave. It is very loosely woven. The warp is of cotton. Height: 158 cm, Width: 81 cm, depth: .7 cm. Thread count: 2 ends/cm warp, 2.5 ends/cm weft. Side selvages are left as woven and top and bottom selvage ends have been sewn in. The blanket is in excellent condition.
