Object Description
Manta, twill and diamond twill weave in black and indigo z-spun single-ply wool, with embellishements in yellow z-spun 2-ply wool. Black center panel in twill weave with indigo diamond twill borders attached by high ridged seam of yellow wool. Also yellow stitching partway up sides of manta (from top and bottom). Selvages have been wrapped in indigo wool. Yellow tassel at each corner. Length: 94.5 cm; Width: 118.5 cm; Depth: .3 cm; Tassels: 4 cm. Thread count: Warp -- 11 ends/cm; Weft -- 9 ends/cm. the number "165" has been stitched onto the back with white thread. Good condition. center panel has a number of small holes and broken weft threads, and parts of selvages are beginning to fall apart.
