Object Description
Black wool manta with diamond twill borders. The center panel is a z-spun black wool twill weave. Attached to center panel at top and bottom are borders of 2-ply z-spun indigo blue wool in diamond pattern weave. Manta is folded and green yarn fastens left shoulder and left side. A raised, twisted indigo blue ridge joins the borders to the center panel. Outer edge of center panel has a pair of three rows of raised ridges. Tassels of 4 cm, in indigo wool, are attached at each corner. Also, a small indigo tassel hangs at base of side closure. Indigo border in excellent condition. Some small spots of fraying/holes near edge of center panel, under shoulder tie. In the center panel there are approximately 10 ends/cm warp and 8ends/cm weft.
