Display Title Black wool manta with diamond twill borders
Descriptions
Object Description Manta in black and indigo z-spun single ply wool with red and green s-spun 4-ply wool embellishment. Center black panel in twill weave. Outside edges of center panel have three ridges, space, then three more ridges. Indigo diamond-weave border attached to center panel with a wrapped ridge seam. Green and red cords stitched on with white thread run along side selvages on indigo border and along seam between border and center panel. Side selvages are wrapped. Top and bottom selvages have been rolled and stitched. Length: 87 cm; Width: 121.5 cm; Depth: .35 cm; Tassels: 12 cm (one at each corner). Thread count: Warp -- 12 ends/cm; Weft -- 7 ends/cm. Excellent condition. One small hole in center panel. Some frayed thread, some staining.
