Object Description
Manta, twill and diamond weave in black and indigo z-spun single ply wool with red 3-ply and green 2-ply s-spun wool embellishment. Center black panel in twill weave with Indigo diamond-weave border, separated by small blue ridge. Green and red cords run partway up side selvages and across width of manta where center panel and border meet. Stitched together at one side with red wool and stitched at shoulder with green wool. Small tassels of red and green wool at corners and where center panel and borders meet. Selvages have all been rolled and stitched with indigo yarn. Length: 97.6 cm; Width: 56.5 cm (folded); Depth; .6 cm (folded); Tassels: .6 cm. Thread count: Warp -- 12 ends/cm; Weft -- 11 ends/cm. Good condition. Some mended holes in border.
