Object Description
Blue wool breechcloth with red and blue borders. Twill and diamond twill weave panel in indigo and red z-spun single-ply wool. Large center panel in indigo twill with two narrow horizontal red stripes at outer edges of panel. Borders in diamond twill weave. All selvages wrapped in indigo yarn. Indigo tassels on each corner. Length: 100 cm; Width: 46.5 cm; Depth: .2 cm; Tassels: 5cm. Thread count: Warp -- 11 ends/cm; Weft : 8 ends/cm. Good condition, but many small holes in body of piece.Cloth tag stitched onto back reads: "RHc 91 G"
