Black wool manta with embroidered blue borders

Object Description
Twill weave manta in black and indigo z-spun single-ply wool. Body of manta is black twill weave. Top and bottom borders have been embroidered with indigo wool, alternating diamond twill-style pattern with concenctric triangle pattern. Inner portion of embroidered border appears to have been an undulating indigo line with small flowers evenly spaced along width of manta. Narrow indigo border also embroidered up side selvages. Side selvages rolled and stitched with black wool. Top and bottom selvages also wrapped in black wool. Length: 99 cm; Width: 133.8 cm; Depth: .3 cm. Thread count: Warp -- 11 ends/cm; Weft -- 9 ends/cm. Poor condition. Many large holes - one or two mended holes also coming apart. Significant portion of one border is missing altogether. Stained.
